Disappointing nite....

Haih.....that was the expression on every Liverpool supporter's face...At least, the only cheer I had was when Arsenal beat Chelsea.
Liverpool's loss was not the only thing that spoiled the nite. It rained so heavily till we couldn't enjoy the Combined Christmas Open House at Fort Cornwallis. Lionel and I were drenched in the rain coz we couldn't wait any longer coz the football match had already started. Then we had to go tru a traffic jam..By the time we got back, The 2nd half had started and our team was 1-0 down...

R u a BANANA?

Some will be wondering : what does "BANANA" mean? In UM(I dunno bout other places), chinese who can't speak mandarin are called BANANAs. What bout those who can speak but can't read or write mandarin? I think they're half-banana. LOL...

I got a comment from Samantha bout bananas, she says: "chinese that can't speak mandarin are call bananas because like a banana, the outer layer is yellow = yellow skin = chinese, and inside, the flesh is white = like d white who speaks english :)"

One of my activities this holiday is to more learn mandarin. Its really tough coz i easily get bored.

So,I decided to watch Taiwanese dramas. I started with one episode of "Why Why Love" but somehow stopped. Now I'm watching "Devil Beside You". Please don't follow this (bad)habit. It feels like I'm saying this as : " Amaran kerajaan. Merokok adalah berbahaya untuk kesihatan." found on cigarette boxes. LOL

Other than that I searched for translations of Mandarin songs to English.

I happened to find 2 good websites, one for learning mandarin, the other for song translation.

Check it out. (How good I dunno yet, I just found them today)

At, 3rd College, the best banana times began this semester with more 1st year juniors who can be considered as bananas. And there other non-banana juniors who often mix with the the banana group.
This year,we were performed 2 banana songs at our CCC Trip at Fraser's Hill, thanks to the support of these juniors and the creativity of How Wan Cherng, the guy with the mic(sorry if i spelled wrongly). Hope we'll get it recorded one day.

Faith vs Feeling

A guy once told Mr. Anderson," I don't like my wife anymore".
Mr. Anderson response was,"Go home and love her".
But he said,"You don't understand- I don't have feelings for her anymore".
Mr. Anderson replied,"I wasn't asking how you felt, I was saying, 'Go home and love her'.".
Immediately he responded,"But it would be emotionally dishonest to treat my wife that way when I don't feel it".
So Mr. Anderson asked,"Does your mother love you?"
That seemed to insult him. The guy replied,"Yeah,of course".
Mr Anderson said,"About 3 weeks after she had brought you home from the hospital and you were screaming with dirty diapers and she had to wake up dog tired and put her bare feet on the cold floor, clean up your miserable diapers and feed you a bottle-did you think she got a bang out of that?"
A softer reply came from the guy,"No".
Finally,Mr Anderson said,"Well then,I think your mother was being emotionally dishonest."

The point here was: the measure of her love wasn't that she felt good bout changing the diapers,
but that she was willing to do it even when she was feeling particularly unhappy about it. And I think we need to learn that about faith. Faith is not always about having positive emotional feelings toward God or life.

taken from "The Case For Faith" by Lee Strobel.

This means a lot coz i tend to be affected by "feelings" in my walk with God and in living my life.
