How a guy got my classmate

Just the past Saturday, I attended my Form 6 classmate's wedding dinner.

There was a session for the couple to share a few words. What my classmate shared and what happened after that was interesting,  i think. ;p You'll see at the end.

Before that, here are some wedding jokes you may have heard before.

Marriage is not a word. It's a sentence....(a life sentence!).

Marriage is a 3-ring circus - engagement ring, wedding ring and Suffering.

A happy marriage is a matter of give and take; the wife gives and the husband takes.

lolz

K k ..back to the story. My classmate told us of how the guy managed to get her to go out with her for the first time. Just the same old techniques lah....I hope I don't spoil the story though..I think I forgot some parts but it still won't change the story that much.

To keep it short, here's the summary. Kinda like a korean drama.

Guy and girl met at carpark after work.
Guy asks girl if she is from Butterworth???...(we all know that is lame....)
Girl says No....

Guy asks if girl is free for coffee tonight.

Girl says No...
Girl drives off. Guy somehow seems to be following.
Girl make a detour to avoid guy from knowing where she stayed.

Guy contacts girl on MSN.
Guy reminds girl of lame question.
Explains why. (which is also lame)
Asks girl out for dinner.
Girl jual mahal...say No.

Guy somehow got girl's hp no.
Girl receives SMS.
Guy invites girls for movie.
Girl says yes wor....(she said she dunno why..............eleh....)
Guy makes it a dinner and movie in one night.
The rest is history.....

Watliau...

Wait wait wait...story not yet end...

It seemed that the story was an "encouragement" for some people...maybe just this particular guy.

That night, as I was hanging around, I overheard a guy talking to a girl.
She was already talking to another friend but he somehow joined in a while.
His first move was to hand her his business card.
After a while, as he was leaving, he asked how they would be able to keep in touch...(can you imagine that brief awkward moment of silence?)
He had to ask" Do you have MSN?"  ...lolz..
As i was listening, I was holding myself from laughing....
Anyway, the girl promptly replied that she will email him...(on business card got email ma...)hahaha
He then left...do you think he will succeed? who knows?....haha

I guess girls would want guys to have the guts to ask them out...
I only tried the "ICQ method" once lolz...guess what.....? it worked wor....but it wasn't for the purpose of asking the girl out lah...hehe...anyway,but that relationship didn't happen...that's a story some of you already know...hehe

History's Most Spectacular Sin

It really wouldn't take much of your time to read through this.As a christian,if you don't ask questions and seek for answers, perhaps you've gone cold. I totally understand it. But we've got no excuse with technology at our fingertips.

The most spectacular sin in the history of the world is the murder of the innocent, pure, perfect, and infinitely worthy Son of God. And at the center of that evil is the Satan-empowered betrayal of Jesus by his friend, Judas.

What was Judas’ role in relation to Satan’s power in this betrayal? Why would Satan assist in bringing Jesus to death, when it would ultimately result in his own destruction? And, most importantly, where was God in all this?

In this 16-page outreach booklet John Piper considers these important questions, and arrives at the stunning conclusion that the invisible hand and plan of God are behind the most spectacular sins in all the universe.

Get it here.

being who you are

I was and am still down with "red eyes". It's really bad coz I was tearing so often since tuesday night. Had 2 days of MC. As I struggle to keep my eyes open, I'll just blog something.

If you're struggling not to do certain things which u know are wrong, you're not abnormal. You're being who you are. You know you don't wanna do things which will hurt yourself in the future.

If you're struggling to do what is right, you are being who yo chose to be. That is who you are. You chose to be a person who would suffer for the greater good. Even if you chose otherwise, can you really be at peace with yourself?

It does take a long time to mold your character. Life isn't fair. I think it will be kinda boring to have a fair world. I believe when you achieve greatness in the future, nobody can be like you coz they never went tru what u went tru.

We all need to be pruned in order to be who we are. Another long and painful process.

God wants to make the difference in our lives, so quit trying to be the same like everyone else.

I was complaining bout money issues. But then somehow i heard this story bout a man who complained that he couldn't give his daughter what she wanted, a pair of new shoes. She was always wearing the same old one everywhere she went.
This man's complains were overheard by a rich couple. They came to him and told him that they give all they had to see their daughter wear those old shoes that man was complaining about. Why? Coz their daughter had her 2 legs amputated due to an accident. That man walked away speechless.
