another story about relationships

Since i haven't blogged for so long and have no mood to blog yet..i'll just paste something i read..
When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I've got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce. I raised the topic calmly.

She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn't talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Jane. I didn't love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company.

She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Jane so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn't have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Jane.

When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn't want anything from me, but needed a month's notice before the divorce. She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month's time and she didn't want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day.

She requested that every day for the month's duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Jane about my wife's divorce conditions. . She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully.

My wife and I hadn't had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mommy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don't tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside
the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn't looked at this woman carefully for a long time. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me.

On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn't tell Jane about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me... she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it's time to carry mom out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn't noticed that our life lacked intimacy.

I drove to office.... jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind...I walked upstairs. Jane opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Jane, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Jane, I said, I won't divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn't value the details of our lives, not because we didn't love each other anymore. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart.

Jane seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away.

At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I'll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed - dead.
My wife had been fighting CANCER for months and I was so busy with Jane to even notice. She knew that she would die soon and she wanted to save me from the whatever negative reaction from our son, in case we push thru with the divorce.-- At least, in the eyes of our son--- I'm a loving husband....

The small details of your lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property, the money in the bank. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves. So find time to be your spouse's friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!

If you don't share this, nothing will happen to you.

If you do, you just might save a marriage.
Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.

A CHRIST-CENTERED MARRIAGE IS A MARRIAGE THAT IS SURE TO LAST A LIFETIME.

So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate. Matthew 19:6.

some lessons in life from the world cup so far

This world cup has been called the world cup of shocks..started out a bit boring but became better..
It's also the first time i've seen so many girls" interested"... ceh...

There were some lessons we can learn, whether u realise or not...

teamwork vs individualism
Players like Messi have the individual talent...but this World Player of the Year didn't score any goal..but when he is in Barcelona colours, he shines...
Life is like this...sometimes u feel like u're useless or can't do well...it can be because of the place you are in or the people you are with...of coz we can't always blame the people or place...

One thing for sure..being over confident and too focused on individualism can lead to failure...

Unlike what we've seen from the Germans...somehow they can work well together...
Finally, since I hve no more time to think..here's one good one...
Don't talk big...don't be proud..
coz before pride comes before a fall....
Look at the "hand of god" placed over the face of Mr Maradonna...
Before he even won the world cup, he already started criticizing others and demanded for apology from those who questioned or criticized him...

It would have been "interesting" to see him run around naked in Buenos Aires ...but I'd rather not see a proud guy do so well...
indeed, i dun like to see his pride..but i have to admit..i've got pride(bad pride) in many other areas which I have to learn to overcome...

Lesson from a Cocoon

I stumbled upon this meaningful article from here

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, and it could go no further. So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time. Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly. What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were God’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If God allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. We could never fly!
I asked for Strength……… And God gave me Difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for Wisdom……… And God gave me Problems to solve.
I asked for Prosperity………And God gave me Brain and Brawn to work.
I asked for Courage……… And God gave me Danger to overcome.
I asked for Love……… And God gave me Troubled people to help.
I asked for Favors……… And God gave me Opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted …….. I received everything I needed!

learning and changing

I'm sure we've all failed in many areas of our lives...no matter how good we think we are, there will be certain areas we all fail in...

for example, you be very efficient and self-sufficient...but you can fail to love...it is really an easy word to say-love...but the hardest thing to do...we all can love our friends...but God asks us to go one step higher - love your enemies..

anyway, back to this topic or learning and changing..

I know the theory but I lack practical practice...

These past few weeks, I've heard and read the best sermons(wisdom , teaching, rebuke , correction, encouragement , etc )

But the problem is me...I sometimes think I have learned or can learn...I make new resolutions..and I fail them so quickly...
Yes, wisdom and discipline is important
But at the moment, if you remove God out of the equation and give me tonnes of wisdom, I will still fail..you, will still fail..

Week after week I thought it'll be better...but things got worse...

Then, I finally concluded that learning and changing, isn't always like Cinderella's fairy-godmother's waving of the magic wand...
I can look at the mirror, and then forget how i look...forget what I need to do to change..

God has been faithful, week after week I get those messages which speak to my heart...messages from people who have lived them out...

Seriously, we've all been disappointed by Christians, whether they're pastors, leaders, counselors or just a fellow member...
At times, i just get so fed up with them and myself in particular....

Is there hope for people like us..people who talk and don't do most of the time?

YES, there is...coz we rely on God's grace...His Strength is made perfect, when we are weak.

I sound like a good Christian at times...but only I know how I've lived my life...it has not been up to God's standards...but this has proven why we can't rely on our own endeavors..or own strength...

I'm glad God has not given up on me although I felt like giving up...
Even just last night, I went to church because I was serving, because I had to...
But God changed things...he made all things work together for good...

If you are still reading up until now and if you are a Christian (hehe ;p ), then remember one thing.
Never stop going to church, never stop "feeding" on Christian stuff...

Have you ever come to a point that the sermons have gone stale? "i've heard that before?" "same old thing"
Oh you are wrong..I was wrong...
Yes, many many many times the sermons are boring and repetitive...but if you don't give up on "feeding" on them, you taste some nice ones which will help you in your life...

If you've not gone to church for so long , or , go but don't feel anything...just ask God to do something
...say something!
I prayed...i forgot about it...but these few weeks..i tasted and was satisfied...
Yup, I still failed...but those words are already deposited in my heart...

It's still up to me to learn and change..but I know I can't do it alone...

why? part 2

IF it weren't for my mom, maybe I would have skipped church or gone late due to the World Cup match at 2.30am..

I thought I was going to sleep despite sitting at the 3rd row from the front. But no...

A few things the preacher spoke which pierced into my heart..."Why do troubles keep on happening? It can be that God wants our attention"
I can't remember the exact words but that's how I remember it...

True enough...I may "know" or read or listen to God's Word, but I find it hard to really apply them...I find it hard to seek God.

In our own self sufficiency, we decide to do it our way or by ourselves...

God may not answer they way we want Him to...It's always easy to tell others that God knows best...when it comes to your turn, you may end up lost or disillusioned...

When I think carefully, bad times reveal in us that there's so much pride, "self", love of the world and it's pleasures, lust, covetousness...etc

I end this post knowing that blogging about this won't make any change happen..it's a first step to think about these things..the next step is to trust God and do...persevere...
I can't say I will do it immediately or never do it...

why?

I'm sure all of us ask God why...

Recent and present hard times have just reminded me bad times, tough times or whatever we call it has many purposes.
One thing it highlighted for me is who I really am. How do I react? What evils are inside? What's my stand?

We wouldn't know until tested. Then, it's up to us to humbly learn or proudly deny it..
Easier said than done...but it can be done.

"faith" to go on

After weeks and weeks of stressful work and "meaningless life", I really needed help from above...
To add the the problem. my sleep hasn't been really satisfying . That tight chest/block nose which affects my sleep and breathing has come back for the past few weeks...
Football stamina was also affected by this....

I was pushed to the edge..I had to choose to be fed up and do whatever I wanted..or fear God, who could  destroy both body and soul....

Hell is not sufficient to draw us to God, it's the relationship...it's about who He is..
But at these points in my life..that joy or peace didn't stand out..it was the fear that going against God was going to cost my life!
I had to choose again...I wanted to jump off the fence, but somehow, the comfort of sitting on it held me...
I know had to choose...no special feelings...I just know...but it's just not easy, one day I can choose this, the other day, I forget about it...

I've never listened to so much of sermons in one week...June 1st,4th,5th,6th in church.....in addition to the John Piper sermons I've listened many times while working...(btw, my job is kinda mundane most of the time, thus I had to listen sermons or music from time to time)

The main issue is this, after listening, DO!!!!!!! faith isn't a feeling rite?
It's like exercise...many people know they need it, but most don't do it...

So, last nite..I finally took out a new journal and started planning and jotting down what i needed to remember and do.....Have you ever failed so many times until you don't wanna try again? I've had a few journals...not really successful...

No special feelings, just faith to go on.

back to work..

OWN goal!

I'm blogging bout this so that I don't forget what's happening now..

Just last week I was blogging bout "goals" ... it was a good intention but I "scored and own goal" this week..in other words..I blew it...
Fine...mistakes happen..but knowing it doesn't change anything...it's been a long time since I've taken drastic measures...

I think the mistake was that I was so focused on "scoring", I forgot to "defend"...that is something I really got to ponder about and ask God for help...

I was mentally and physically exhausted by work,  spiritually also dry ... I kinda dread to go to work due to the amount of uncertainties and stress...When I'm living halfheartedly, I know it's meaningless...
I didn't sleep well the past week or more...in addition, that "chest tightness" is recurring

The more we wanna change, the more the "enemy"  wants to attack us...

I prayed last night..I told God I really can't bear this "anymore"...I know I can't give up but I also know I need help...this is a personal battle I have to fight...we all have to fight our own personal battles

The 3 weaknesses below will always be part of our battles...

1 John 2:16

16 For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.

Goals

k k k...i may be a football fanatic but that doesn't mean I'm gonna blog about football now.
I've been thinking about goals in life...football is just a small part of it

Are we gonna go through this "meaningless" life with our own sets of goals? Who will will judge which is right or wrong? beneficial or not? "christian" or "godly" ?

As I blog this, I'm under lots of pressure and stress caused by my work...I want to finish my work and then blog, but that day may never come...when I go back home..i usually lose the "inspiration" I somehow will have when I'm busy...

Anyway, I hope I can come back to this..
I like the way John Piper writes about his future plans..

Is It Possible To Believe In Jesus ... And NOT Be Saved?

Have you ever heard someone telling you that they believe in Jesus? But, they also believe in other gods too. They quote John 3:16. "...for whoever believes in Him should not perish...."

What do you say to that person?

In short : The word "believe" in this and many verses, is the verb pisteuo derived from the noun pistis meaning "faith, assurance, belief".  But a verb is an action word.  The usage of the word pisteou means "commit unto, commit to (one's) trust, be committed unto, be put in trust with, be committed to one's trust."

Even Christians "believe" in Jesus. Are we really believing? I know it's tough. It's easy to blog about this but to do it..fuh..God help me!

Deceiving ourselves

This past weekend had an unexpected twist to it...at the end, it caused me and my friend to think and talk about many things we wouldn't have really talked about...

Trials indeed reveal who we really are...
Will we be humble enough to admit that we are wrong...Or will pride get in the way?

Have you ever given up on planning to improve or to just do what is right?
Many times we admit to our close friends that we know we are in a mess and need to change. But, we forget and go on wasting our lives.

The questions are: Why do we have to tell others of our failure? Does is make us feel good that at least we "know" we need to change? Is it to show we have some form of righteousness left inside?
Would it make any difference?

Do we go on doing this? Or should we just talk after we manage to "change"?
Faith without works is indeed dead. But before something is done, we think about it.
I believe, if you've reached a point when you stop thinking about doing the right things, you may drift even further away.

After all these years as a Christian, I have failed countless times. And yet, God still forgives me. Tough times bring us to either choose to follow Him again or give up. I'm glad I chose to follow Him (by His mercy and grace)

Think about these things...

6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

The above is taken from 1 John 1.

Sitting on the fence

8 May 2010, I was at youth meeting and this speaker from Australia spoke some stuff while praying for me.
In my own words, these are the few things i remember.
I left the 99 to get u...
Rise up and fulfill your destiny
Don't get swayed by the temptations of this world

God knows ... what am I gonna do about my life now?

The very same temptations, failures come pouncing on me...I decided to fight and then I forgot...and then I the cycle continues...

I've come to realize that bad times reveal our true nature...

I'm blogging this day to remind me how my life sucks now...partly due to my foolishness..and partly these are just bad times ...
I don't wanna explain in detail...but if i don't, i may forget...so how? I guess I'll let it be for now..

I just have to continue to pray and ask God for help...I need some sparks...

2 quotes i always forget ..

"If you wait for the right time to do something, you'll never get it done"

"To learn, you must love discipline"

Friends...

What's happening to this world? It seems we're "talking" to our "friends" more on Facebook than in person....

Of the many things I am lacking in Penang is "friends"...not just acquaintances. Minus my collegues and football ppl, I basically don't really mix around...coz there just ain't many opportunities...( i can hear some confident ppl whispering " Make the opportunities, don't just wait....) ya ya...
I'm not sure about you but I have a feeling many people are facing this lack..

One thing that "University Life" had was many friends and acquaintances.
..come to think of it, I never really had any close friends in school...The ones I clicked with were mostly due to football and similar interests...Also,what school didn't have was friends who are girls.

The word "intentional" came about one day in my facebook comment about friends...
A friend commented bout it, hoping that she wasn't one of my unintentional friends...
Another friend mentioned about friendship needing effort...

This topic can go on and on..the more I turn it inside out, upside down, the more blur I get.
So, is putting effort enough? You can't really force yourself to be close friends with someone...
What if it is a gift from God, one that you can't make on your own? One of those things you can't force? You may sacrifice so much for a person and he or she may not appreciate it at all...and it isn't his or her fault...

It just has to happen...

The Tipitaka , Quran, Bible, etc

I was just thinking of a few things as I was looking back at the many days I have neglected reading the bible...

I usually get that guilty feeling when I don't read the bible...but when I do, I feel better...

The dilemma is this.

Is it all about the "feeling"?

What about those who from other religions who read their own holy books and fulfill other religious acts/duties/etc?

Don't they also "feel" good after they have done their part? Chrisitans feel good that they have gone to church on Sunday. Muslims feel good that they have gone to the mosque on Friday. Buddhists feel good after going to the temple...
ETC

Is our "relationship" with God so shallow?

Should a Christian be measured by the amount of time he spent with the bible?

I guess the question is not complete...it's not easy to ask the right questions at times..most of the time we shape the questions according to our understanding or liking.

Then we wonder why God doesn't answer them....

good in bad, bad in good

I dunno which should be the right title...in fact, it's all too subjective...the things i'm gonna blog are just thoughts  from a narrow angle.

anyway, I had a  few thoughts...

we tend to complain of the bad times we went through...but we don't realise how we were molded through it all

we may not be who we are now if not for those bad times.
in the process, we were given choices to make..we weren't forced.

some get bitter and go bad..some choose to fight for the good that's left

in order to reap good, there seems to be a need for bad to exist.

how can i put it? I don't have a good analogy but here goes.

I was just told by a friend that he rarely uses the computer and internet.
I responded , "WHAT!???" .
i told him the importance of internet , bla bla bla

I did admit that computers and internet is used mostly for useless entertainment . If you really think of it, do you realise the amount of time we wasted on facebook games, other games, movies, series, "jack sparrowing", etc?

Although the computer/internet has brought lots of bad things..say only 30% benefits us and the rest is just rubbish..Then, can we conclude that it's better to not have a computer to avoid that 70% or should we take risks just to have the 30%?

bad experiences do mold us...we are affected in one way or another..

in KL, i had a chance to talk to at least 2 ppl about things i never thought i'd hear from them...

many things made them who they are today...one main issue for both of them involved relationships...people...love

the challenge is this.
Are we gonna give up on love and be selfish or, choose to live a life of love for others?
There should be an mount of love reserved for ourselves coz Jesus told us to love others as we loved ourselves...but if you only love yourself, then your love isn't complete. You're just being selfish and you won't find true satisfaction in life...i don't see this as a "christian" principle. It works for all.

good intentions

Good intentions don't change anything.

It's almost the end of March...and I'm mulling over the things I intended to do...
Many ppl have come to a point where they don't want to make any more new resolutions...

I intend to be punctual la, love my mom more la, don't waste time la, read my bible and pray more la...etc
These same old intentions are battles I have been fighting to improve or maintain...

Just this morning, there was an uncomfortable raging battle inside of me as I read the bible...one fact I know is that the devil is always at war with us...

Looking beyond my failures, the things I did right in the past have resulted in fruits and will continue to bear fruits...of cause, the stupid things i did also haunt me at times...we so easily forget the times we suffered(for good or bad)...at least we get to enjoy the fruits..

We all can be disciplined...can have aims...be harworking...the people of this world have proven that they can do it...
But I refuse to do it "that way"..I don't wanna depend on my own strength to achieve all my goals...I want God to play a part in every detail of my life...

Indeed if I look back, what have I done to deserve to be where I am today? to be working in a company I never thought possible? to have just enough to support my family?

When will we realise that without God, we wouldn't be alive? Why are we so proud?
I know I am in the midst of my battles...I can see parts of my lukewarm lifestyle...but I know I need God...

I have good intentions, but they aren't enough to make a difference...

Why are we always waiting for something or someone to inspire us?

I know I can be disciplined to achieve earthly things...what bothers me is I have to rely on a greater force to fight spiritual battles...to love others...it's easier to run from these things and achieve earthly things and feel good of yourselves...

In the end, will it all matter? Do you think putting yourself first will bring you love, joy,  peace?
If you "love" your life, you will lose it...

Oh yeah..another easier said than done phrase...

Back to work...real life...will all my reflections make a difference?

Temptation

Ok...I thought I should just blog a few things before I forget...

Why the picture of a woman with chocolate? sajalah..
Coz I do hear girls saying chocolate is their temptation...

Anyway, we all face all sorts of temptations in different areas in our lives.

I was just thinking of the 2 most famous passages in the bible, The Lord's Prayer & Psalm 23.

...lead me not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one...

...He leads me in the path of righteousness for His namesake...

I've always wondered why we had to ask God to not lead us into temptation.
Does it imply that if we didn't pray that, we would be lead into temptation?

The line from Psalm 23 does show that we don't deserve it or wouldn't want to be lead in the path of righteousness...

Alright..enuf...

Why do little children suffer and die?

Before you read the discussion below, my opinion is this.

These things happen to show how selfish the world is. The rich get richer, the poor get poorer...
The rich seem to be giving a lot to charity...But really, if they buy one less car, so many would have been fed...

Humans..we fail la...

Seek

If you're a fellow Christian...seek

If you're anyone else looking for answers...seek

Personally, I  seek..fail..seek again ..fail...get something..think it would help...fail...get up again..seek..get encouraged....failed...seek................

Perhaps, the most lazy way I seek for answers is to listen to sermons...
It's better than doing nothing...

The end times are here..but they won't mean anything if our very own lives are at dead ends...
One of the source of biblical challenge and encouragement can be found here:
http://www.desiringgod.org/

i have no excuse as no truth is hidden...no truth that we need is hidden...just seek...

We all have no excuse as resources are everywhere...

Sometimes listening too much or reading too much also tires us down...things get stale...but there should be balance..we have to learn that.

mirror mirror hanging on the wall,
hearing but not doing leads to our fall.

mirror mirror....

When I look into the mirror, I see .... 'me"...duh...but not the "me" I'm supposed to be though...
Physically, a bit thin...that's all my mom complains about...

But inside, there are many things I don't like..and yet I go on living like that...

It's like what the bible says bout seeing yourself in the mirror and doing nothing about it.

James 1:22-24 (New International Version)

22Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. 23Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror 24and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

Whether you're a Chrisitian or not, it does apply. Most of us just talk but never do.

When I find myself getting "lost", somehow I will be lead to God's Word or message. Either in church or in a meeting my mom "forced' me to go to...or just last nite, a book at my mom's friend's house.

I just had a bad day on Saturday...mostly due to my own foolishness but still God knew I needed Him...or perhaps I knew I needed him...
My mind was tired and at times lazy to question God or seek for answers...so I just succumbed to any other thing than to seek God...I'm still dissatisfied with certain things. Sometimes I get caught up by things which are unnecessary to worry about...

Yup, even now I'm still struggling. I'm writing this just to start something...
What am doing with my life? It's March already...

JAN 2010 updates

It has been 2 months since I started my first job.
I have always wanted to blog about how I got my job and other stuff BUT...

Anyway, if some of you don't know,I'm now working as a Technical Support Specialist at Dell Penang.
It's amazing how I got the job. Law of Attraction????....neh...I clearly know that God was involved.
For now I haven't got time to give out details...

Now for some human stuff....it may sound a bit down but I guess I am being human...

As a normal guy, I'm starting to think how on earth am I gonna get a girlfriend if I don't mix around. Dell has lots of girls but there ain't any interaction. Church? haih... haha...thinking of a relationship does scare me...I just wanna hang out for now but at the same time not do anything wrong or stupid...

As a christian, this new year I was reminded again how simple it is say and think about reading the bible and pray but never really doing it...it's like having an antivirus but not updating it...
I'm still not really involved in my church...

As a football enthusiast, Liverpool has been disappointing...so is my real life football form...my club Youngsters' United FC also not doing well...where are the young people who are passionate for the game????

I was just watching "Yes Man" starring Jim Carrey...and I felt emo ..lolz...I had to finish that show and sacrifice some sleep...and then I thought I should blog...if not I won't ever do it...I guess it's just for the few out there who have nothing better to do than to read what this guy has to say...

New Year but...

..but still not much changes...many old habits still lying around

If you don't live by priorities, you live by pressure....that's a quote I remember from ACTS church..

I have been busy with work..after work pula I just wanna do every other thing but not the important things..

I stare at the computer screen for a minimum total of 7 hours per working day...no kidding..sleeping less than 6 hrs per day...then play football almost everyday....crazy..that's why i look so thin now...

i want to blog and read blogs but ...haih..

currently i had a discussion with a Malay friend regarding the usage of "Allah"..still an ongoing and very tough topic indeed...took me lots of time to reply...

I wonder what I'll do with the blog layout for this year...this is another unimportant thing which maytake lots of time...
